Carolyn Hannaford, the fourth of ten children, was born in Grosse Pointe, Michigan. Growing up in a military family, she traveled and lived in many places, which shaped her wide range of experiences. Carolyn began writing at the age of 9 and has never stopped. With 34 original songs posted on her YouTube channel, she expresses herself through both songwriting and storytelling. After earning her master’s degree in teaching, she enjoyed a long career as an educator, teaching at grade school, middle, and high school levels.

As an aspiring author and singer-songwriter, Carolyn is passionate about bringing her art to life. What makes her special is her ability to connect with her audience and bring out the “special” in them. Her experiences are directly embedded in her work, and she continues to inspire others by following her dreams, with no excuses. Carolyn has completed an autobiographical novel, a children’s song and book, and a picture book for all ages. She’s now working on turning one of her songs into a book to share with readers worldwide.
